What are Webinars?

— A Webinar is a live, internet-based presentation in which the presenter shares knowledge in real-time with an audience that can attend through an internet connection.

Webinars are very popular because they allow people with varying schedules to access information when it is convenient for them. Webinars are typically scheduled one after another so that they may be attended consecutively or individually throughout the day.

— A webinar is a live, interactive online course offered over the Internet. Participants can either attend live or watch a recorded version at their convenience. Webinars are an effective way for employees to learn about new skill sets and gain expert training without having to leave their desks. All sessions are recorded and available on demand, so employees don’t have to worry about missing out on any valuable information.

— A webinar is an internet-based seminar that uses live streaming video and audio to allow one or more presenters to give a talk, with the audience seeing and hearing the speaker on their computer.

— A webinar is an informal seminar broadcast live over the Internet. The term may be a portmanteau of “Web” and “seminar.” Webinars arose in the late 1990s when they were used to promote technical topics without the need for travel.

Webinars take various forms, from presentations with PowerPoint slides to demonstrations and question-and-answer sessions.
